This year we celebrated the 1Oth Anniversary of our company with an exclusive edition of our renowned Big Industries Academy set in the stunning location of Montenegro.
Big Industries was founded in 2014 during the height of the Big Data craze. While the buzz around Big Data was loud, few grasped how to harness its power. Big Industries not only comprehended the intricacies of the technology but also foresaw the transformative impact it would have on businesses.
Traditional companies that were sticking to outdated systems found themselves unable to keep up with the competition from innovative digital rivals. In response, Big Industries aimed to empower Belgian businesses embracing Big Data, enabling them to stand toe-to-toe with Silicon Valley giants.
Embracing the Cloud Revolution
Our initial collaboration was with Cloudera, the creators of Apache Hadoop – a pivotal platform that significantly contributed to the global popularity of Big Data. Its ongoing relevance is why we remain dedicated to supporting our valued Cloudera clients to this day.
Significant shifts have occurred since 2013, with the widespread acceptance of the cloud and a growing interest from companies to harness its capabilities. Big Industries has forged new collaborations with AWS, Microsoft Azure, Databricks, Dbt Labs and Confluent, while also closely monitoring the developments on the Google Cloud platform.
